Building on the success of the summer initiative benefitting the charity ONEKID ONEWORLD, Donna Distefano will host "Terra Incantata" (Enchanted Earth) Jewelry Exhibit and Sale at the Atelier on Tuesday evening, December 8th from 6:00-8:00pm.
As an advisory board member of OneKid OneWorld, Stephanie March visits places like the Nyamasare Girls Secondary School in Suba, Kenya in order to give direct assistance to students in need of electricity, clean water, textbooks, athletic equipment, clothing and classrooms. She first brought her work to the attention of Donna Distefano in the Spring of 2009. Donna immediately agreed to help raise awareness of the good work OKOW does by donating a piece for a fund raising event in June. Donna continued her support of OKOW hosting a series of selling events with Stephanie in her Atelier throughout the months of July and August. The event on December 8th will continue this partnership while educating the public on the importance of Fair Trade practices in the jewelry industry.

In addition, a wide variety of silver and gold jewelry will be on display starting at $75, just in time for the holidays. 10% of the sales generated from all jewelry sold on December 8th will benefit OneKid OneWorld as well.
The Terra Incantata Fair Trade collection of gems and jewelry will be on display at the Atelier throughout the months of November and December 2009. It features fine rubies, sapphires, purple sage chalcedony, Mexican fire opals, and chrysoprase.--all are completely natural in color and untreated. We hope you'll join us!
